Using Peza

Terms & policies

These terms explain the basic rules for using Peza’s discovery, listing, messaging, events, and marketplace features.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

1. What Peza provides

Peza provides an online platform for discovering local businesses, services, events, jobs, rentals, and products, and for sellers to publish listings. Unless a page clearly says otherwise, a listing is provided by the named seller or organizer, not by Peza.

2. Accounts and acceptable use

Keep your account details accurate and secure. You are responsible for activity through your account. Do not impersonate another person, submit false or unlawful content, misuse another person’s information, interfere with the platform, or use Peza to facilitate fraud or harm.

3. Listings and transactions

Sellers are responsible for accurate descriptions, prices, availability, legal rights to offer items, and fulfilling arrangements they make with buyers. Buyers should review the listing and confirm important details with the seller before committing.

Peza marketplace checkout and seller payouts are currently disabled. Marketplace order pages record order and delivery information; they do not mean Peza has collected, held, or guaranteed payment. Buyers and sellers currently arrange payment directly.

For event ticket checkout, sellers choose in Payments and Integrations whether new online payments use Peza’s PayChangu merchant account or their own connected PayChangu account. When Peza’s account is selected, online ticket payments are received into Peza’s account and organizer payouts are not automated by the current system. Sellers must agree with Peza on settlement, refunds, fees, and any other handling before offering paid tickets through that option. When a seller’s own account is selected, the seller’s PayChangu account settings and provider terms apply. PayChangu processing charges may apply to either option. These options do not create escrow or guarantee a buyer refund.

Ticket credits are a separate Peza service charge for an event’s WhatsApp ticket inventory. A credit is consumed when the organizer confirms payment and issues a ticket. For a WhatsApp order, the buyer pays the organizer directly; the order code is a request reference, not proof of payment or a valid ticket. The organizer is responsible for checking the payment before confirming the order. Peza records who confirms it but does not verify payments made outside Peza.

4. User content and moderation

You retain responsibility for content you submit and must have permission to share it. You allow Peza to display and use that content to operate and promote the relevant listing or feature. Peza may hide or remove content that appears misleading, unsafe, unlawful, or inconsistent with these terms.

5. Availability and responsibility

We work to keep Peza available and information useful, but listings and platform features may change or be unavailable. Peza does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or availability of third-party goods, services, events, jobs, rentals, or apps. Nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
